Land of Maharajahs, Rajasthan, India, gave us the art of bone inlay. Maharajas commissioned the work of these exquisite pieces to be handcrafted for the royal palaces. With this technique, handed down from generation to generation, artisans adorn the base with intricate bone inlays, arranged typically in a geometric pattern, creating a captivating monochromatic mosaic. This delicate piece of art is a beautiful addition to your home.

Bone inlay involves the meticulous craftsmanship of intricately carving bone pieces into small forms, which are
then delicately inserted into the surfaces of various objects like furniture and homewares.

Originally, bone shards were arranged in simple, organic mosaic patterns. Over time, this technique evolved to encompass elaborate designs featuring geometric, floral, fishtail and herringbone arrangements. The gaps around the bone are filled with colored resin, resulting in a flawless surface.

Our primary collection highlights bone inlay furniture and homewares. From the beginning, we have collaborated with artisans in Rajasthan to honour traditional motifs while introducing their unique designs.
