After finishing the carving, the artist sometimes seal & color the wood with a variety of natural oils to protect the wood from dirt and moisture. Carving is a time taking and delicate process that gives a beautiful piece of art by making most of the natural aesthetic look, texture and natural grain pattern of the wood.
