Hand Painted Blue TV Unit

Hand Painted Blue TV Unit
This statement TV console brings the centuries-old artistry of Rajasthani bone inlay work into a functional, contemporary piece of furniture. Handcrafted by skilled artisans, the unit is fully clad in an intricate botanical pattern — dense trailing vines, leaves, and flowering blooms — rendered in fine bone inlay against a rich turquoise-blue lacquered base. The design wraps continuously across the top surface, the front face, and both side panels, so the console reads as a cohesive work of art from every angle, not just the front.

The silhouette is a clean, low-profile rectangular console, ideal for media storage or as an entertainment unit anchor piece. It features a generous open shelf, finished in a deep black interior lining that creates a striking contrast against the turquoise exterior and provides ample room for a set-top box, gaming console, or media accessories with easy cable access. Below the open shelf, three equally proportioned drawers span the width of the unit, each hand-inlaid with its own floral medallion centerpiece framed by scrolling vine borders, and fitted with recessed or minimal pulls to preserve the clean lines of the inlay work.

Construction is in solid wood, giving the piece substantial weight and durability, while the bone inlay is inlaid by hand piece by piece — a labor-intensive traditional technique native to Rajasthan, where thin slivers of bone (or bone-alternative material) are individually set into hand-carved grooves in the wood, then polished flush for a smooth, seamless surface. This craftsmanship results in natural, minute variations in the inlay pattern from piece to piece, making each console a genuinely one-of-a-kind object rather than a mass-produced replica.

The turquoise-and-ivory palette gives the piece a bohemian-eclectic, globally-inspired character that pairs beautifully with both maximalist and minimalist interiors — equally at home as a bold focal point in a neutral living room or as a coordinating piece in a color-forward, eclectic space. Its long, low form factor makes it well suited for placement beneath a wall-mounted television, in a media room, hallway, or as a striking sideboard/console in an entryway or bedroom.
