This carved wooden door turns an everyday threshold into a statement piece. Three richly detailed panels sit in a warm, honey-brown frame, with intricate relief work that draws the eye from top to bottom. The finish celebrates the natural grain of the timber, so the door looks both traditional and quietly luxurious.
The top panel: a blooming mandala
The large upper panel is the centrepiece. A radial, flower-like mandala unfolds from a finely detailed central rosette, with layers of sharply cut petals fanning outward to the edges of the frame. The deep relief catches light and shadow differently through the day, so the pattern seems to shift and glow. The darker, antiqued tone inside the carving sets it off against the lighter surrounding wood.
The middle band: geometric accent
A slim horizontal panel in the centre carries a repeating geometric motif of interlocking diamonds and cross forms with a small central medallion. It works as a visual pause between the two larger panels, adding rhythm and balance to the design.
The lower panel: a star within a square
The bottom panel is inspired by classical geometric design. A square frame with a stepped, key-style border surrounds a tilted diamond, and inside it a finely pierced, star-like rosette radiates from the centre. The precision of the lattice work shows the skill that went into each cut.
